Organizational Health Diagnostic

Know what is driving performance, wellbeing, and retention.

The Novo Vista Organizational Health Diagnostic measures three core areas: organizational health, employee wellbeing, and organizational networks.

Together, these areas help leaders understand how the organization is functioning, how employees are experiencing work, and where targeted action can improve performance and wellbeing.

What we measure.

Turn Insights into Action

The Organizational Health Diagnostic is designed to move leaders from data to action. The goal of our diagnostics is not simply to collect employee feedback. The goal is to identify where action will have the greatest impact.

Team and Function-Level Reporting

Identify the strengths and opportunities across teams, departments, or business units. Compare Organizational Health across functions to pinpoint where targeted interventions will have the greatest strategic value and where successful practices can be replicated.

Personal Leadership Insights

Gain a deeper understanding of how your experience of Organizational Health compares with your colleagues. The report highlights your unique perspectives and provides personalized, evidence-based recommendations to help you become a more effective leader and change agent.

Go beyond organizational charts to understand how work actually gets done. Network analysis identifies informal influencers, trusted advisors, knowledge brokers, and decision-makers, allowing change initiatives to be directed through the people and communities that have the greatest ability to accelerate adoption and improve Organizational Health.

Transforming IT

Challenge

A newly appointed CIO wanted to transform IT into a strategic business partner to its internal customers while also addressing employee burnout and improving staff engagement.

Assessment

More than 300 IT staff completed Novo Vista’s Organizational Health Diagnostic. The assessment was paired with focus groups and interviews with key leaders, employees, and internal customers.

Findings

The analysis showed that Strategic Leadership and Organizational Alignment were the weakest areas of organizational health. In particular, employees needed greater clarity around mission, vision, priorities, and how IT’s work connected to broader business needs.

Action

An Organizational Health Program Office was created to lead transformation activities. Its first priority was to engage IT staff in designing a new mission, vision, and values for the organization.

Results

The work improved relationships with internal IT customers and strengthened staff engagement. Following the intervention, more than 90% of IT staff indicated they would recommend the organization as a great place to work.
